CLUB NINTENDO™ SPECIAL EDITION (1990)
The Game Boy Classic (jap. ゲームボーイ, Gēmu Bōi) was developed by Nintendo's mastermind Gunpei Yokoi. The Game Boy was first introduced to the public in Japan on 21. April 1989 and is the most sold portable console ever. Shortly after the release in Japan the Game Boy entered the US market on 31. July 1989. Gamers in Europe had to wait more than a year until the console was officially available (28. September 1990). In course of the European release Nintendo Germany issued a special edition of their Nintendo Club Magazine, introducing the club members to the console, various games and the additional hardware available.
