DMG-01 KNOWLEDGE BASE (GAME BOY MUSEUM)

The Knowledge Base provides an in-depth insight into the hardware ecosystem surrounding Nintendo’s Game Boy Classic (DMG-01), including original, licensed and third-party products, complemented by merchandising and print media.

While the hardware guide is designed to provide a quick-reference of the Game Boy ecosystem, this section takes a deeper, more contextual approach. It explores the relationships, development and significance of individual components within the system.

With a focus on structure, context and interpretation, the Game Boy Knowledge Base documents the evolution and diversity of Game Boy hardware with a museum-level approach to preservation and system-oriented documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: Often the same hardware was offered by different suppliers in slightly modified ways and different packaging designs. In this hardware guide, I have refrained from showing very similar items more than once. You can find a more complete overview of items available for or related to the Game Boy Classic in my "Game Boy Master Collection".
