To prevent gamers from running out of energy during long car journeys, various hardware manufacturers released Game Boy-compatible power supplies. The adapter was distributed by InterAct Accessories Inc. and is compatible with Game Boy Classic, Game Boy Pocket and Sony Game Gear consoles. The Handy Plug Plus works equally for car and boat power outlets and automatically switches the voltage output.
