This hard case is a special edition released by Nintendo as part of the release of Super Mario Land 2 - 6 Golden Coins. The hard case was only distributed in Japan in a limited edition and is therefore difficult to find today.
The hard case offers space for the Game Boy Console (DMG-01), the Game Boy Battery Pack (DMG-03) and some games.
