The Game Boy Classic (DMG-01) is not equipped with a screen backlight, making it difficult to play when light conditions are bad. The "Light Master" is one of the solutions intended to solve this problem. The device has lamps that illuminate the Game Boy's display and a magnifying glass that makes the display appear 1.4x larger. The device is foldable to save space when not in use.
